LinkedIn Passwords Compromised

Since the only article that’s almost correctly referenced in Google is the only one where I put some text in it, I’m gonna to try this again by writing a few sentences about Linkedin.

As you probably already know (I mean, the news is propably one week old, wake up sheeple!), recently LinkedIn password has been partially compromised.

If you haven’t already done it, go check if your password has been compromised on the webapp LeakedIn. Don’t worry, this webapp hashes your password in the browser, so you’re never sending your real password to the server (read more about hashing, and if you’re techsavvy and want to know how easy it is to hack unsecure passwords, have a look at this article on CodingHorror). Even if your password is not compromised, better safe than sorry, change it now, especially if you’re using the same password everywhere

I’m always astonished to find that people still use very unsecure passwords, even on sensible websites like LinkedIn. Here’s a list of very unsecure password that has been leaked:
